While at the University of Georgia I took every screenwriting course offered to undergraduates. One of our first assignments in the introductory course was to storyboard a public service announcement for a local charity. I chose the Athens Human Society due in part to my personal concern with the problem of students abandoning their pets.
Dr. Kohn used this concept as an example in his screenwriting classes for years to come. The artwork was redone in 2008 using Photoshop 7.
Uga, the bulldog, is the well known and much loved mascot for the University of Georgia.
